MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are investigating after two people were found dead inside a north Minneapolis home Monday morning in an apparent stabbing.

Police were called to the 1200 block of 10th Avenue North at about 4:30 a.m. Monday on a report of a stabbing. When authorities arrived to the scene, two people, and adult woman and teenage male, were found dead inside a residence. At this point, police are calling the incident a double homicide.

Authorities said there are no suspects in custody at this time, and the Homicide Unit of the Minneapolis Police Department is taking over the case. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Minneapolis Police. Police said they have a suspect in mind and there is not a threat to the general public.

The identities of the victims will be released after an investigation by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
