MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Iowa have taken a man into custody in connection with the double murder on Monday on the north side of Minneapolis.
Authorities say 21-year-old Ishmael Roberts was arrested Tuesday in Waterloo, Iowa, after crashing a stolen car in the city. Officers chased Roberts down in a residential area of Waterloo. He was arrested for resisting arrest.

Roberts is waiting to be transferred back to Minneapolis, where he could face charges soon in the stabbing deaths of 57-year-old Beatrice Wilson and her teenage grandson. Her friends said Beatrice was a Liberian immigrant who was a mother to many in the community.
Minneapolis Police were called at about 4:30 a.m. Monday to the 1200 block of 10th Avenue North on a report of a stabbing. When authorities arrived, Wilson and her grandson were found dead inside the home. The incident is still under investigation.
