MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The scruffy look is in across the country — at least for the month of November. “Movember” is officially in full swing.

Men all over the country are starting the month with a clean shave and letting it grow in an effort to raise awareness for prostate and testicular cancer.

NewsRadio 830 WCCO’s Lauren Oakes Reports

Movember officials say with one in six men expected to be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, each mustache prompts an average of 2,400 conversations, helping raise awareness for men’s health issues.

Local “mo-bro’s” can get a free shave Thursday at the Nomad World Pub on Cedar Avenue in Minneapolis.
