OLD DUTCH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

The junior running back had a phenomenal game against Rogers in the Class 5A Section 6 semifinals, carrying 25 times for a school-record 370 yards and five touchdowns. His effort helped the underdog Elks, who were 3-5 during the regular season, defeat seventh-ranked Rogers 53-42 and advance to Friday’s section championship game against St. Michael-Albertville. Bardashevskiy’s touchdown runs totaled 287 yards, with scores of 81, 22, 25, 69 and 90 yards. The Elks had a total of 514 rushing yards. It two playoff games Bardashevskiy has rushed for 581 yards and six touchdowns.
