St. Paul Man Gets 32 Years For Killing Ex-Girlfriend

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 26-year-old St. Paul man was sentenced Thursday to 32 years in prison after pleading guilty in September to killing his ex-girlfriend.

Court records show Brent Lynch received a 386 month sentence for a second-degree murder charge. Lynch pleaded guilty to killing Carolyn Leete.

Lynch has four prior felony convictions, including one for terroristic threats against a pregnant girlfriend and terroristic threats against the same woman shortly after she gave birth. He was also convicted of third-degree assault and criminal damage to property against a different victim.
