Police: Mom Leaves 3-Month-Old Baby In Car While At Bar

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 23-year-old mother was arrested Sunday after police say she left her 3-month-old baby in the car while she had a drink in a bar.

Police say Heather Marie Anderson, of St. Paul, was arrested around 10 p.m. Sunday after being called to the area of 429 S. Robert St. on a report of child abuse.

Officers said they pulled Anderson over after they saw her leaving the area. Witnesses reported seeing Anderson putting her baby in her vehicle and then entering the El Alamo bar and ordering a drink.

Anderson faces child neglect charges. Family members were called to the scene to care for the 3-month-old girl.
