STILLWATER, Minn. (AP) — The Stillwater Lift Bridge connecting Minnesota and Wisconsin is tentatively scheduled to reopen to vehicle traffic in about a month.
A rehabilitation project began in July for the historic bridge across the St. Croix River. The bridge has been closed to motor vehicles since Sept. 10.
Crews are about 70 percent done with the project. The bridge is on track to open to motor vehicles by the end of the first week of December.
While the lift bridge is closed, traffic is being detoured to the Interstate 94 bridge at Hudson, Wis., or the Highway 243 Bridge in Osceola, Wis.
