Bomb Threat Disrupts Voting At MN Polling Place

CANBY, Minn. (WCCO) -- A bomb threat temporarily suspended operations at a polling station in Yellow Medicine County Tuesday morning, according to Candby Police.

The incident was reported at 11:24 a.m. after someone noticed a threatening message about a bomb written on the bathroom wall at the Main Administrative Building at the Minnesota West Community & Technical College.

The campus was evacuated and, as a result, voting at the Technology Building was interrupted between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Public safety officials determined there was no threat and voting has resumed.

Police are investigating the origin of the threat. Anyone with information concerning this crime is asked to call the Canby Police Department at 507-223-7211.
