NEW TRIER, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities have identified the man killed in Thursday’s rollover on Highway 50 near Hogan Avenue as Dennis Underwood, 27, of Cannon Falls, Minn.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the one-car crash took place around 2:40 p.m. Thursday on Highway 50, west of New Trier.
The 1982 Chevrolet S-10 pickup hit a driveway approach at a high rate of speed and went airborne for about 150 feet before striking a tree when it landed.
The pickup rolled over at least once and ejected both occupants.
Keri Gesme, 26 of Hampton, Minn., was the other person in the vehicle and is in critical condition.
Underwood was found dead on arrival as Gesme was airlifted to Regions Hospital.
