5 Injured, 2 Critical In Mower Co. Shooting

MOWER COUNTY (WCCO) -- Five people have been shot and two are in critical condition after a shooting in Mower County early Sunday morning, according to the Mower County Sheriff's Office.

At 12:03 a.m., deputies responded to a shots fired call at the Lansing Corners Event Center. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the five victims.

The two critically injured victims include a 21-year-old Sioux Falls, S.D. man, who suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. A 19-year-old Rochester man also suffered two gunshot wounds to his chest and one in his right thigh.

The other victims include a 23-year-old woman from Austin, Minn. She was shot twice in her stomach and once in her left hand. A 17-year-old Sioux Falls boy suffered a gunshot wound to his back right calf and a 17-year-old Austin boy was shot in his right foot.

All the victims have, or are, being treated in Rochester.

All witnesses told deputies, "I didn't see anything." Authorities believe this to be an isolated incident.
