MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources said Monday more than 100 wolves have been shot and killed since the season opened.
Officials said in three hunting zones, 110 wolves have been harvested. The east central hunting zone has been closed after eight wolves were harvested as of last weekend. The two other zones, northwest and northeast, have had a combined 102 wolves harvested during the season.
Of that number, 54 have been harvested in the northwest zone and 48 have been harvested in the northeast zone. The wolf hunting season ends Jan. 31, 2013.
