MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One of the most popular CDs every year goes on sale on Thursday across the Twin Cities.

The Cities 97 Sampler, which is now in its 24th volume, hits Target stores on Thursday and is guaranteed to have fans lined up at stores early in the morning across the metro. The club First Avenue is hosting a release party for the CD Wednesday night and it includes Phillip Phillips and Tristan Prettyman among other performers.

The album costs $25.97, and all proceeds from sales go to help a variety of charities in the Twin Cities metro. If you want the CD you’re encouraged to get up early as it will sell out quickly.
