MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A popular web magazine has picked one of our Minnesota Vikings for Sexiest Man of 2012.

Chris Kluwe was given the honor from Salon.com, who says sexiness is about brain as much as about brawn.

It picked Kluwe in part for his crusade against the proposed amendment to the Minnesota constitution banning same-sex marriage.

Salon says not only does Kluwe have an activist streak, he’s also a big reader and self-proclaimed video game nerd.

Kluwe says the honor is a little strange. He’s never thought of being chosen as sexiest man before.
