GLYNDON, Minn. (WCCO) – A beloved turkey that went by the name Roger was known by everyone in the northwestern Minnesota town of Glyndon.
The bird could be found helping the Minnesota State Patrol make traffic stops, and once he was thrown in jail for a brief time, after he was caught window peeping.
Now the town is saying goodbye to Roger.
The turkey died on Sunday after getting hit by a car. Residents of Glyndon say Roger was always looking for food near the highway.
