GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Drew Olson’s goal late in the third period lifted Minnesota-Duluth into a 4-4 tie with North Dakota on Saturday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Olson’s first goal of the season came just more than a minute after Rocco Grimaldi staked North Dakota (4-3-2, 2-1-2) to a 4-3 lead.
Danny Kristo had two goals and Andrew MacWilliam added another goal for North Dakota, which got 42 saves from Clarke Saunders. The North Dakota goalie did not face a shot in overtime.
Aaron Drandall had two of his 29 saves in overtime for Minnesota-Duluth (25-2, 0-3-2)
Austin Farley had two goals and Mike Seidel also had a goal for Minnesota-Duluth.
