MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Guthrie Theater plans to commemorate its 50th season with an original one-time performance and a free community celebration next year.
The Tony Award-winning Minneapolis theater has announced a slate of events for the weekend of June 22-23, 2013.
On Saturday, June 22, the Guthrie will stage “BEHOLD,” a one-night-only gala performance featuring actors, composers and writers. Tickets cost $150 per person and go on sale in May.
A Golden Soiree also will be held that night. The dinner will be open to 100-plus guests, with tickets to the gala performance, a champagne reception and a live-music post show. Tickets are $5,000 per person and are on sale now.
The Guthrie will open its doors to the public Sunday, June 23, for a free community day.
