MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The 49-year-old man who died en route to the hospital in northern Minnesota Friday after being found in a wooded area has been identified by authorities.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says it received a call shortly before 1 p.m. saying a man – identified Saturday as James Joseph Hoheisel – had been found near Myrtle Lake in Portage Township. When first responders found the man, he appeared to be suffering from exposure and was unresponsive.
Hoheisel was from Hillman, Minn.
The cause of death is under investigation.
