MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The 49-year-old man who died en route to the hospital in northern Minnesota Friday after being found in a wooded area has been identified by authorities.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says it received a call shortly before 1 p.m. saying a man – identified Saturday as James Joseph Hoheisel – had been found near Myrtle Lake in Portage Township. When first responders found the man, he appeared to be suffering from exposure and was unresponsive.
