Police Quickly Apprehend Blaine Bank Robbery Suspect

BLAINE, Minn. (WCCO) -- A 55-year-old Blaine man is accused of robbing a Blaine bank Saturday morning, police say.

The Blaine Police Department said at 10:34 a.m. on Saturday, Michael Lee Watts robbed the TCF Bank at 331 County Road 10 NE in Blaine. The suspect implied that he had a weapon, but witnesses didn't see one.

He then fled the location on food and a description of the suspect led police to apprehend Watts a short time later.

The case is still under investigation by the FBI and the Blaine Police Department.
