Police: Homicide Victim Found In North Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis Police are investigating after a victim of a shooting was discovered in north Minneapolis late Wednesday night.

At 11:55 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the area of 26th Avenue and 3rd Street North on a shots fired call. There, they discovered an unconscious male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, police say.

Attempts to revive the victim were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say at this time there have been no arrests for this homicide.

The victim's identity and cause of death will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office after their investigation is complete.
