ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities say nobody was injured after fire broke out in a St. Paul home early Tuesday morning.
Crews were called to the 500 block of Portland Avenue in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood of St. Paul on a report of a house fire at about 2 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities said a woman was out walking her dog when she went by the home, saw smoke coming from the third floor window and called 911.
Authorities said nobody was home at the time of the fire and nobody was hurt in the blaze. Crews were able to put the fire out as it was quickly contained, but not before the second story of the three-floor Victorian home was damaged.
Authorities said they believe the fire started when flooring material caught fire, but an official cause to the fire is still under investigation.
