High temperatures punched back above average today and there were reports of 1-3 inches of snow from Ely to Duluth. It will be fairly quiet the next few days with afternoon highs near average (34 degrees).
The only precipitation concern arrives Friday morning. The models are hinting at very light precipitation in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. This would be drizzle, and with temps right around the freezing mark Friday morning, we could be dealing with some freezing drizzle/fog for the Friday morning commute.
I will keep an eye on this possibility. This weekend, temperatures will soar into the 40s with a shot at the 50s on Monday.
Snow lovers be patient. It’s too far out to talk about with certainty, but I see a chance of snow the weekend of the 8th and 9th. So I’m telling you there’s a chance …
