ARDEN HILLS, Minn. (WCCO) — Ramsey County will soon own a piece of land, which for a short time, was considered for a new Vikings Stadium.
Right now, the federal government owns the 427-acre lot in Arden Hills. It’s the site of the old Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant.
Tuesday night, Ramsey County commissioners voted 5-2 to pay $30 million to clean it up and buy it. They hope to redevelop the land and sell it for future development.
