MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A former District Court IT employee allegedly stole nearly $100,000 in computer equipment from his workplace, authorities say, and has now been charged with four counts of felony theft.
Saleem Abdul Ghani, 42, of Maple Grove, allegedly stole a total of 112 components, including a laptop, a printer, software, servers, keyboards, phones, and more – all totaling $93,407.03.
The theft was initially discovered during an asset inventory of court computer equipment.
