PIERCE COUNTY, Minn. (WCCO) — A man died Saturday evening after his car went under a semi-tractor trailer in Pierce County, Wis., authorities say.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department reports that a male driver from Minnesota was driving northbound on County Road E at about 6:20 p.m. Saturday, failed to stop at the intersection and drove under the eastbound trailer of the semi on Highway 10.

The man died at the scene, while his female passenger was taken to Regions Hospital with undetermined injuries. The driver of the semi was not injured.

Names have been withheld pending further notification and the crash is still under investigation.
