MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) — A Minnesota-based company has announced plans to close its northern Iowa office in Mason City, costing about 95 people their jobs.
I.C. System Inc. says it will be consolidating its accounts-receivable management work at other locations. I.C. System is based in St. Paul, Minn., and has had a Mason City office since 1989.
The company says the job losses will occur gradually and be completed by June 30. I.C. System President John Erickson blames downturns in the economy for the decision to consolidate and close the Mason City operation.
The company says job opportunities for the Mason City workers exist at other I.C. System locations.
