MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 29-year-old man from Elk River was arrested Tuesday in connection with an incident involving criminal sexual conduct with a pre-teenage girl.

Wayne Leistico was arrested on probable cause first-degree criminal sexual conduct, use of minors in a sexual performance and possession of pornographic work involving minors. Leistico is currently in the Sherburne County Jail awaiting formal charges.

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office said Leistico was under investigation for a complaint alleging that a pre-teenage girl had been sexually assaulted on more than one occasion by him.

He was taken into custody without incident.
