ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — It’s a long way from Lake Wobegon.
Humorist and author Garrison Keillor will host “A Prairie Home Companion” sea cruise from Barcelona, Spain, to Venice, Italy, in August 2013.
Keillor will be joined on the cruise by “Prairie Home” regulars Tim Russell and Sue Scott, sound-effects man Fred Newman and the Guy’s All-Star Shoe Band with Richard Dworsky.
The 10-day trip begins Aug. 21 in Barcelona. Stops include Marseille, France; Monte Carlo; Livorna, Tuscany; Rome; Naples; Kotor, Montenegro; Ravenna, Italy; and Venice.
The cruise is open to the public. Reservations can be made through the “Prairie Home Companion” website.
Keillor is creator and host of “A Prairie Home Companion,” the weekly public radio show where he tells tales of his mythical hometown of Lake Wobegon, Minnesota.
