MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Minnesota Twins have signed right-handed pitcher Kevin Correia to a two-year $10 million contract, the team announced Thursday morning.

Thirty-two-year-old Correia went 12-11 with a 4.21 ERA, 89 strikeouts and 46 walks in 32 appearances for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2012.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound pitcher was a 2011 All-Star as a member of the pirates after beginning the season 11-7, which was the fourth most wins in the majors at the All-Star break.

Correia will earn $4.5 million in 2013 and $5.5 million in 2014.
