ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — Ben Hanowski and Jonny Brodzinski scored within a span of 1:38 Saturday to give St. Cloud State a 3-1 Western Collegiate Hockey Association win over Colorado College.
Hanowski broke a 1-1 tie at 11:59 of the second period and Brodzinski followed at 13:37. It proved to be the last goal of the game as Huskies goalie Ryan Faragher made 13 of his 16 saves in the last two periods.
St. Cloud State (11-7-0, 9-5-0) outshot the Tigers 30-17.
Kalle Kossila also scored for St. Cloud State, giving the Huskies a 1-0 lead late in the first period.
Joe Marciano scored the only goal for Colorado College (8-10-2, 5-6-1).
Josh Thorimbert made 27 saves for Colorado College.
