MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Minneapolis Police say a 5-year-old boy pulled a toy handgun from his backpack on the school bus and pointed it at students and staff.
The incident apparently happened on Dec. 18 at 9:30 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 94 and Broadway Avenue West.
When the boy pulled the toy handgun out of his backpack, the students and staff initially believed the gun was real.
Those on the bus say students were terrified.
A staff member took the gun from the boy and it was later inventoried, as evidence.
There were no injuries and Hennepin County Child Protection was contacted.
No more information has been released.
