Winter Doesn't Stop Twin Cities Cyclists

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Twin Cities is often tops when it comes to residents bicycling to work, and being one of the best biking cities in the U.S.

Even when we get hit with winter snow and cold, it doesn't stop people from getting around on their bikes.

So photojournalist and fellow biker Jose Pascual asked them: Why do it? (You can see their responses in the video above.)

One woman, comparing winter driving to winter biking, said: "It's much more pleasant to bike."

A couple winter tips for the bikers: wear bright colors, use lights and reflective gear. Also, take off-street trails when you can, and travel a little more slowly when snow and ice are on your route.

As for drivers: Don't forget bicyclists are still out there!
