MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Vikings and Packers will meet Sunday in a do-or-die game for the Vikings.
Win and Minnesota’s in the postseason. Lose, and hope for a lot of help to get into the playoffs.
For one local family, it means the tension couldn’t be any higher.
Jackson Sinykin is the only Vikingfan in his house of cheeseheads.
Father, and Packer fanatic, Dave Sinykin is the head cheese at KFAN, and in his own basement.
“I clearly didn’t do my job well — my first born has gone against me,” he said. “I tried to turn him. I’ve offered him jerseys of his choice and took him to Lambeau Field.”
But his son Jackson wears purple pride, breaking dad’s heart.
However, it does provide more fun for dad’s radio show on Sunday’s.
While most games are light hearted for the family, if the Vikings win, Minnesota could play the Packers again in the first round of the playoffs – creating even more drama in the Sinykin household.
