Defensive end Brian Robison and cornerback Antoine Winfield expect to play with some pain Sunday in the regular season finale against the Green Bay Packers at Mall of America Field.

The key is that they “expect to play.” The Vikings have listed both as questionable, which gives them a 50-50 chance of playing with a playoff spot on the line.

DE Brian Robison (shoulder)
The six-year veteran was a limited participant all week. He was injured early in the Week 15 win over the St. Louis Rams. He has 36 tackles, 7.5 sacks, seven passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Status for Sunday: Questionable.

CB Antoine Winfield (knee/hand)
The 14th-year veteran did not practice all week. He has been on the injury report every week since Week 5 with the knee injury, but has not missed a game. During last Sunday’s win over the Houston Texans he suffered a fracture in his hand. He is not expected to miss any time, but will need to play with a cast on his hand. He has 100 tackles, half a sack, 12 passes defensed, three interceptions and one fumble recovery.  Status for Sunday: Questionable.

DE Jared Allen (shoulder/illness)
The ninth-year veteran did not practice Wednesday, but returned as a full participant Thursday. He was healthy enough Friday to not appear on that day’s report. He was injured during the Week 10 win over the Detroit Lions. He has been on the injury list in previous weeks, but has not missed a game. He has 44 tackles, 11 sacks, three passes defensed and a forced fumble this season. Status for Sunday: Probable.

P Chris Kluwe (left knee)
The eighth-year veteran was a full participant all week. He was injured in the Week 8 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has been on the injury report since. He has not missed a game and averages 44.8 yards per punt with 18 downed inside the opponent’s 20-yard line. Status for Sunday: Probable.

OT Phil Loadholt (knee)
The fourth-year veteran was a full participant all week. He was injured during the Week 12 loss to the Chicago Bears, but has not missed a game this season. Status for Sunday: Probable.

LB Marvin Mitchell (illness)
The sixth-year veteran was added to the injury report Friday as a non-participant. He developed the illness late in the week. He has been on the injury list numerous times this season and has played in 10 of the Vikings 15 games. He has nine tackles and a forced fumble. Status for Sunday: Not Applicable.

RB Adrian Peterson (abdomen)
The sixth-year veteran did not practice Wednesday and Thursday, but was a limited participant Friday. He has been on the injury report every week this season, but has not missed a game. He has 1,898 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns while catching 39 passes for 215 yards this season. He is not expected to miss the game. Status for Sunday: Probable.

CB Marcus Sherels (quadriceps)
The second-year veteran was a full participant all week. He was injured in the win over the Rams. He has seven tackles, one pass defensed and one fumble recovery. Status for Sunday: Probable.

The Vikings list probable as a 75 percent chance the player will play, questionable means it is 50 percent, doubtful is 25 percent and out means the player will not play. Due to the Thursday game day, the Vikings did not give statuses for its injured players.

Recap of the Injury Status

Probable:
DE Jared Allen (shoulder/illness)
P Chris Kluwe (left knee)
OT Phil Loadholt (knee)
RB Adrian Peterson (abdomen)
CB Marcus Sherels (quardriceps)

Questionable:
