HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Trevor van Riemsdyk’s scored in overtime to give New Hampshire a 3-2 men’s college hockey win over Bemidji State in the consolation game of the Ledyard Bank Classic on Monday.
Bemidji State’s Jordan George sent the game into overtime with a goal at 9:05 of the third period.
Van Riemsdyk, who also assisted on a goal, netted the game-winner for the Wildcats (11-4-2) at 2:08 of overtime. Grayson Downing and Jay Camper had New Hampshire’s other goals.
Markus Gerbrandt scored the other goal for Bemidji State (5-11-3), which did not have a shot on goal in overtime.
MSU goalie Andrew Walsh made 33 saves to keep the Beavers in the game. Casey DeSmith had 18 stops for the Wildcats.
