MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minneapolis police continue to search for the person responsible for a fatal stabbing over the weekend.

The stabbing happened Saturday evening on the 5700 block of 33rd Avenue South.

When officers got on the scene, they found a man who had been stabbed.

He was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He died a few hours later at the hospital.

While police haven’t arrested a suspect, they don’t think there is any threat to public.

The case has been assigned to investigators from the Minneapolis Police Department’s Homicide Unit. If anyone has information regarding the incident, they are asked to contact the tip line at (612) 692-8477.
