MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Macy’s is closing another one of its Minnesota stores. This time, it’s the downtown St. Paul location.
The department store’s employees were called to a store-wide meeting Wednesday night and an official announcement is expected Thursday, the Pioneer Press reports.
The City of St. Paul wouldn’t comment on the report, but released a statement tonight saying: “Downtown’s momentum has been building and the city sees great things ahead for this site.”
Just last year, Macy’s closed its Bloomingdale’s store at the Mall of America.
