MONTICELLO, Minn. (WCCO) – Emergency crews had to cut two drivers out of their vehicles after they crashed head-on Sunday afternoon on Highway 39 in Monticello.
According to the Monticello Fire Chief, the accident occured near the intersection of Gillard Avenue Northeast and Riverview Drive (Hwy 39).
Both drivers, who were adult males, were injured; one was flown to an area hospital via medical chopper, and the other was taken by ambulance.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
