MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Minneapolis Police are investigating after a man was stabbed and killed early Sunday morning.
Officers were dispatched to a home around 3:25 a.m. Sunday on the 2900 block of Russell Avenue North on a disturbance call.
While en route, they learned a man had been stabbed at the home.
When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive man. Medical personnel determined the man was dead.
A man from the scene was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment and other witnesses were questioned.
The case has been assigned to the Minneapolis Police Department’s homicide unit. If anyone has information in this case, they are asked to call the tip line at 612-692-8477.
The victim’s name has not yet been released. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release his name and the exact cause of death after their investigation is complete.
