DODGE COUNTY (WCCO) — A Bryon, Minn. man has been charged in the theft of a truck from a Dodge County Sheriff’s Office impound lot, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
On Dec. 22, 2012, a 2005 Ford King Ranch pickup was stolen from the Sheriff’s Office impound lot.
Authorities later recovered the pickup at a foreclosed residence in Oronoco, Minn. on Jan. 3.
The next day, a Search Warrant was executed at Michael Schoenfelder’s residence in Byron. During questioning, he admitted to stealing the pickup, authorities say.
Schoenfelder was then arrested. He now faces one felony count of theft of a motor vehicle. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
