MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Mississippi River houseboat started taking on water this morning and will now be removed at the owner’s expense, according to authorities.
Lisa Kiava with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department said the house boat is located near the Hennepin Avenue Bridge and is a two-story structure about 40 feet in length.
Kiava says it’s not uncommon for houseboats to be on the river all year round. Why it took on water is still unknown.
