Wolves G Lee To Have 2 Surgeries, Out For Season
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malcolm Lee will undergo separate surgeries on his right knee and right hip next week and will likely miss the rest of the season.
The team says Lee will have surgery Monday to repair cartilage in his right knee. Two days later he'll have hip surgery.
The 6-foot-5 Lee played in 19 games for the Wolves this season. He averaged 4.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 18.1 minutes per game.
Nine of the 15 players on Minnesota's roster have missed games to injury this season.
Lee is in his second NBA season out of UCLA. Chicago drafted him in the second round and traded him to Minnesota on draft day.
He had been out indefinitely after being injured in a win over Denver.
