DULUTH, Minn. (AP) – The Mississippi driver who survived a highway crash that killed his wife and two young children is improving at a Minnesota hospital.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jeremiah Statham, of Foxworth, Miss., is hospitalized in Duluth. Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center spokeswoman Kim Kaiser says Statham is in fair condition Monday.
He had been in critical condition following the crash Saturday on an icy Highway 2 near Cass Lake.
Statham’s 27-year-old wife, Catherine Statham, 3-year-old Jeremiah and 1-year-old Emma died when their pickup left the road, hit some trees and flipped over.
