MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – City officials said Monday that all ice rinks in Minneapolis are back open.
That means kids can get back on the ice for skating and hockey as long as they can handle the cold weather. Officials said the recent stretch of mild weather in the Twin Cities along with last Friday’s rain forced the city to close all rinks.
Crews were out over the weekend making the necessary fixes, and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation board said Monday they’re back open and ready for use. The city has 47 rinks at 22 parks.
