MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The City of Minneapolis plans to replace all 5,500 Snow Emergency Route signs.
The replacement signs will have a new type of longer-lasting sheeting and will have a better reflective material, which will enhance their visibility on dark winter nights. The signs will also include the Snow Emergency hotline: 612-348-SNOW.
The old signs won’t go to waste. They’ll be taken to the City’s sign shop, stripped, reprinted with new messages and reused along Minneapolis streets.
