MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – At the scene of a reported robbery, Minneapolis police said they found one person shot in the stomach and another injured at 6 p.m. Tuesday at 17th Street and University Avenue NE.

According to Sgt. Stephen McCarty, the two victims were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, and their conditions aren’t known. He added that one man who was detained was arrested on an unrelated charge.

When McCarty was asked if it was a random act of violence, he said “that’s under investigation.”
