NORTHWOOD, Iowa (AP) – A 46-year-old northern Iowa man has been charged with vehicular homicide while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Michael Chodur, of Kensett, was charged in Worth County District Court in Northwood in connection with a fatal collision on Sept. 2.
Authorities say Chodur and 57-year-old Lynn Weedman, of Glenville, Minn., were driving east on a Worth County road when Chodur’s car struck the back of Weedman’s.
Both drivers were injured. Weedman died Sept. 5 at an Iowa City hospital.
A public phone listing for Chodur couldn’t be found. Online court records don’t list the name of his attorney.
