Up To 2 Dozen Displaced In Minneapolis House Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say as many as two dozen people are without a home after a fire at a duplex on the north side of Minneapolis early Tuesday morning.

Crews responded shortly after midnight to a report of a fire on the 1600 block of Hillside Avenue North in Minneapolis.  Damage is hard to see from the outside, but authorities said the fire caused significant damage on the inside. Authorities said it appears nobody at the home was hurt in the fire.

A firefighter was also sent to Hennepin County Medical Center for a twisted ankle suffered while battling the blaze. Authorities say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
