MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minneapolis Public Schools will host a community meeting next month at Washburn High School following a racial incident.
Washburn disciplined four students after a dark-skinned doll was dangled by its neck with a piece of string last week. Images of the doll-hanging were posted on social media sites and also caught on school security cameras.
The meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. next Wednesday in the Washburn High School auditorium.
Students, teachers, staff, elected officials and community members are all invited to attend.
