ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. (WCCO) — WCCO viewers’ pick for Best Happy Hour has a great combination of good food, drink specials, and something fun to do.

The Park Tavern in St. Louis Park is a place made for happy hour.

“It’s one of those places that eventually when you come here enough — don’t tell my mom — everybody knows your name,” said patron Mike.

The Tavern has been in this spot in St. Louis Park for nearly 33 years.

“It’s a way to relax with your friends or co-workers, or friends from nearby places,” said bartender Adam Herstein. “Get together, have a laugh, a drink, or something to eat. Here you can go bowling during happy hour because we always have the specials going.”

Bonus happy hour is 2-for-1s from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“It’s for taps and rail drinks — they can mix and match,” Herstein said. “We have a lot of local beers, so you can do a Surly or a Lucid.”

The happy hour menu also offers more than the typical deep fried bar fare.

The fun isn’t only restricted to your standard 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. time slot; any time Minnesota sports teams are on TV, there’s some sort of special going.

A bonus happy hour runs from 9 p.m. until close Monday through Friday.
