MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Post offices as well as all local, state and federal government offices will be closed Monday to mark Martin Luther King, Jr., Day.
The cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul are also giving motorists a break on parking meters for the holiday — but Minneapolis parks will enforce meters unless it’s noted on the meters themselves.
Most major supermarkets will be open, as will most malls and shopping centers.
The Star Tribune reports that Metro Transit buses and light-rail trains will follow regular schedules.
Some public schools are closed, and most libraries are closed too.
